Once again the beloved Childrens-TV-presenter Juri Tetzlaff can be experienced in a concert together with the conductor Steffen Tast. In November they will bring the beautiful story “The Blue Bird” to the stage together. The music was written by Engelbert Humperdinck, famous composer of the oepra “Hansel and Gretel. 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of Humperdinck’s death. His music for “The Blue Bird” is a rediscovery, as it was never performed again after its premiere in Berlin in 1912. The fairy tale tells the story of a brother and sister, who are sent to search for the “blue bird” by a fairy. In the process, the two children enter a mysterious world with talking animals, plants and objects and, at the end of their journey, they learn about the true essence of happiness.
