MUSIC EDUCATION AND MUSICAL OUTREACH
Bringing music to life, bringing people together, creating new spaces – these are the goals of the RSB’s music education initiative.
From our Rapauke subscription for kindergarten children, to our special concerts for schoolchildren and families, to rehearsal visits for young people, there is something for every age group.
Our offers
Rapauke makes music
The concert format for the RSB's youngest listeners presents chamber music works, imparts knowledge about instruments and musical terms and ends with the construction of a small instrument.
Family and school concerts
For primary school children aged 6 to 12 and their music-loving companions. Each concert presents a central piece of music, accompanied by a narration and pictures. Instruments can be tried out afterwards.
Moderated rehearsals
In our moderated rehearsals, students from middle school onwards learn about the most important genres of classical music and gain an insight into the rehearsal process. Music lovers of other age groups are also welcome.
Rehearsal visits
Children as well as young people can attend a rehearsal of the RSB and experience the orchestra up close at work.
Concert for all
The project enables people with disabilities to participate in concerts and aims to integrate them into the concert program in the long term.
Musical fairy tale for Namibia
The RSB supports a Namibian music school for educationally disadvantaged children, the YONA, through various projects.
