Adventure, an island full of dangers, a battle, victory, honour – everything a great story needs can be found in Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’. It becomes a special adventure when the music of Sibelius and the sign language poetry of our guest artist bring the protagonists to life. Together with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, sign language poet Jan Sell takes hearing and hard-of-hearing audiences alike on a journey to discover the fate of Prospero and his daughter Miranda from a whole new perspective!
The concert format ‘Konzert für Alle’ (Concert for All) was awarded with the Innovation Prize of the German Orchestra Foundation in 2024.

The Wilhelm von Türk School is the only school in the state of Brandenburg that focuses on the needs of students with hearing impairments. It places great emphasis on individual support tailored to the strengths and needs of each individual student. Differentiated learning opportunities create a positive learning atmosphere in which students feel comfortable and can develop their full potential. In addition, the school works with the state’s special education support and counseling centers to implement quality standards for special education focused on hearing throughout the state.

Reinhardswald Elementary School (Berlin-Kreuzberg)
Class 6a consists of 7 girls and 17 boys. Karin Maibauer became their class teacher in 3rd grade. After 3 years, 3 class trips, and many excursions, the children have grown together into a real class community.
Reinhardswald Elementary School is a certified “musical elementary school” and is currently threatened with closure in January 2028 because no renovation work has been carried out for years and the building was constructed with asbestos at the time.
