“Hours Like Days”

The second novel by the Berlin-based author and journalist Shelly Kupferberg is set to music in this narrative concert by Franz Schubert, Pjotr Tschaikowsky Heinz Tiessen and Eugen Engel as well as Leokadiya Kashperova and Anna Skryleva. Shelly Kupferberg, born in Tel Aviv in 1974 and grew up in West Berlin, tells in “Hours Like Days” the story of the thrifty caretaker Martha E. and the life-loving Liane Berkowitz, who is active in the resistance against National Socialism in 1940s Berlin.
