Opera concert with heroic tenor Klaus Florian Vogt

Ulf Schirmer

Conductor

Klaus Florian Vogt

Tenor

Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin

Stories of love, power, betrayal and redemption – heroic tenor Klaus Florian Vogt brings deep emotion and radiant heights to the great Wagner roles such as Lohengrin, Tannhäuser, Parsifal and Siegfried.
Richard Wagner’s music – narrated decisively by the orchestra – together with works by Carl Maria von Weber and Franz Lehár transforms the Konzerthaus Berlin into a cathedral of sound on this evening. Ulf Schirmer conducts the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, with which Klaus Florian Vogt sang a deeply moving Lohengrin in 2012 as part of the great Wagner cycle conducted by Marek Janowski and available on CD.
Klaus Florian Vogt has appeared at all the world’s major opera houses and at renowned festivals, including Bayreuth and Salzburg. The multi-award-winning tenor was most recently honoured as ‘Best Singer’ at the Oper! Awards 2025.
There is currently no other singer who fills the role of Wagner’s Grail knight Lohengrin so convincingly.
