Gudrun Vogler - Oboe

Gudrun Vogler has been an oboist and English horn player with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra since 2002.
From 1988 to 1992, she was the principal oboist at the National Theatre Weimar.
As a two-time prizewinner of the ARD Music Competition in the field of chamber music with the wind quintet “Kammervereinigung Berlin,” she recorded CDs with this ensemble for renowned labels, initially performing extensively throughout Germany and later internationally.
As a member of the specialized ensemble for contemporary music “KNM Berlin,” where she was active from 1992 to 2019 and performed in cities such as Buenos Aires, Tokyo, and Taipei, she explored her role as an instrumentalist, performer, and creative and vibrant interpreter with great curiosity and joy.
Since 2015, she has also been involved in the music education program of the RSB. As a music ambassador in classrooms, she shares her enthusiasm for classical music with young people in schools. She has developed concepts for children’s and youth concerts in various teams.
In addition to her concert and chamber music activities in various ensembles and genres, she has been performing successfully and regularly as a member of the solo formation “Date for three” since 2016.

Ringela Riemke, who has been the deputy principal cellist of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra since 1990, studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ in Leipzig under Wolfgang Weber. She was a member of the KNM Berlin (Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin) from 1991 to 2017, performing numerous concerts both nationally and internationally (including at the Cité de la Musique, Vienna Konzerthaus, Berlin Philharmonie, Gewandhaus, Carnegie Hall, and the Papal Palace in Avignon). Her last concert tour took her to Asia, to the Taipei Concert Hall.
Two of the CDs with chamber music works by Beat Furrer, which she recorded with KNM Berlin, were awarded the German Record Critics’ Award.
Ringela Riemke is a mentor at the Orchestra Academy of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Behind the partially reconstructed façade of the Berlin Palace, the Humboldt Forum opens up with collections from many cultures around the world.
The musicians return to the historic location where the RSB has performed several times in the Palace of the Republic in the past. Inspired by the collections and exhibitions, they will play micro-concerts on the six museum Sundays from November 2024 to April 2025, each at 14:00. Entry is free.
The programmes of the concerts will be announced on the websites of the RSB and the Humboldt Forum before the respective dates.
