RSB concerts in the Philharmonie
The Berlin Philharmonie is once again one of the RSB's main venues in the 24/25 season - a programme that is as varied as it is interesting awaits you in 13 concerts.
Chief conductor Vladimir Jurowski will conduct the Philharmonie six times, and Ton Koopman and Antonello Manacorda will also be guests there. The RSB also welcomes Jörg Widmann and Thomas Adès, who will lead the orchestra through their own works, as well as Lithuanian conductor Giedre Slekyte, who is making her RSB debut. This season, audiences will also once again be able to enjoy Philippe Herreweghe with his Collegium Vocale Gent and Simon Halsey in the Rundfunkchor Berlin's sing-along concert.
The RSB welcomes Christina Bock, Maria Bengtsson, Elsa Benoit, Gerald Finley, Dorothee Mields, Ulrike Malotta, Sebastian Kohlhepp, Kieran Carrel, Andreas Wolf, Eleanor Lyons, Sophie Harmsen, Mauro Peter, Jarett Ott, Yeree Suh and Ansgar Theis to the Philharmonie as vocal soloists. The guest instrumentalists are Mitsuko Uchida (piano), Johan Dalene (violin), Christa Schönfeldinger (glass harmonica), Teodoro Anzellotti (accordion), Yunchan Lim (piano) and Nicolas Altstaedt (cello).
The works to be heard range from Brahms, Schönberg, Adams and Rameau to Handel, Haydn, Schumann and Beethoven to Bach, Mozart, Dvorak, Chopin and Debussy. More recent compositions by Ives, Barber, Tuercke, Klein, Weinberg and Eisendle as well as Monnakgotla, Widmann, Adès, Simpson and Sibelius are also included in the concert programmes.
