Trialogue with Piano

A Berliner with Russian roots, that was the composer Paul Juon (1872–1940). In 1906, Joseph Joachim appointed him Professor of Composition and Chamber Music at the Berlin University of the Arts. Five years earlier, he had composed his Piano Trio No. 1, an elegant work in the Romantic tradition. Beethoven and the impassioned Mendelssohn provide an effective framework for it.
