Romina Bernsdorf - Violinistin

Romina was born in Berlin in 1996.
She began playing the violin at the age of four. From 2005, she was a junior student at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin, studying under Prof. Stephan Picard and Michael Erxleben, amongst others. From 2009, she attended the C Ph E secondary school in Berlin. From an early age, she won numerous national and international competitions (e.g. Il Piccolo Violino Magico, Italy 2006; Canetti Festival, Antalya 2007), and gave regular solo and chamber music performances.
In 2003, she was accepted into the International Music Academy for the Musically Gifted. Regular masterclasses, for example with Prof. Hu Kun (Royal Academy of Music, London), Andreas Janke, Anna Gebert and Bartomiej Niziol, complemented her
musical training. From 2020 to 2023, she studied music at the ZHDK Zurich in the class of Rudolf Koelman, later Ilya Gringolts and Alexander Sitkovetsky. In 2024,
she began a Master’s degree at the HMT Rostock in the class of Prof. Stefan Hempel. From 2024 to 2025, Romina held an academy position with the Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra, and since 2025 she has been an academy member of the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin. She also performs regularly with freelance orchestras and, in addition to classical music, is involved in projects featuring pop and Arabic music.
