RSB school tours

In the 2019/2020 season, the members of the RSB will go on several school tours through Berlin and Brandenburg in chamber music formations. They will present chamber music of different epochs to the pupils and tell a lot of interesting things about their instruments and their profession. Depending on the target group, there are also participatory activities for the pupils, from body percussion and onomatopoeia to the call to write their own works or to build musical instruments.

Grades 1 to 3 will receive “animal visits” from RSB string players, who will present their instruments to the pupils on the occasion of music from The Carnival of the Animals.

In grades 4 to 6, RSB brass players present their skills and their instruments. For pupils from the 10th grade, musicians from the RSB will reflect upon the topic of globalisation from a musical perspective and will have a string quartet by Dvořák in their repertoire.

RSB school workshops

In the run-up to the family- and school concerts “Aşkım Beethoven” in February 2020, the RSB offers intercultural workshops, in which the musicians of the orchestra together with members of the “Ensemble Olivinn” will let the classroom experience the congress of the German and Turkish musical cultures.

The exact dates, age groups, and conditions for the school tours and school workshops will be announced in due time on this website.
