For more than fifty years now, concerts at renowned festivals and guest concerts in Germany and greater Europe have been as integral to the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra performance season as its concert series in Berlin.
The 2012 | 2013 season at the RSB will be kicking off with a Beethoven concert at the Choriner Musiksommer. In September, the RSB will be giving guest performances of the works of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Antonin Dvořák and Franz Schubert at the Septembre musical de Montreux, the Settimane Musicali di Ascona and the Merano Music Festival.
In April, the orchestra will be giving guest performances of works by Johannes Brahms, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Béla Bartók in Aschaffenburg, Cologne and Nuremberg.
As the season draws to its close, a concert with works by Viennese composers from the golden age of the waltz will be held at the Galopprennbahn Hoppegarten and a “Western Film Music” concert moderated by Herbert Feuerstein will be held at the Landgestüt Redefin in the framework of the Music Festival of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The spectacular season finale will consist of three concerts with different programs to be held at the Festival International de Colmar.
