In addition to its concerts in Berlin, guest engagements have been an essential part of the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin’s activities for over 50 years.
Never before in its history has the orchestra played as many concerts throughout Germany and abroad as it does today. The Rundfunk-Sinfonierorchester Berlin is recognized internationally as an ambassador of the music culture of Berlin, a city with one of the most attractive cultural scenes of its kind in the world. The orchestra receives regular invitations to distinguished festivals, which need not be based in large cities, and the RSB is also a regular guest in European capitals such as Paris, Warsaw and Prague. With its guest concerts throughout Germany, the orchestra also supports the main objective of its principal sponsor Deutschlandradio as a national cultural broadcaster. For several years, the RSB has enjoyed solid partnerships with the Philharmonics in Cologne and Essen.
