Viviane Hagner

The Munich-born violinist Viviane Hagner gave her international debut at the age of 12 and only one year later, performed in the acclaimed “Joint Concert” together with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonics under the conductor Zubin Mehta. Since then, she has worked with numerous top-ranked international orchestras including the Czech Philharmonie, the Bayerische Staatsorchester and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and under such renowned conductors as Claudio Abbado, Danie Bahrenboim and Christoph Eschenbach. Viviane Hagner is also a great champion of contemporary music, and she performed in the world premiere of Unsuk Chin’s Violin Concerto together with the Deutscher Symphonie Orchester conducted by Kent Nagano. She plays the Sasserno Stradivarius (1717), which has been generously loaned to her by the Nippon Music Foundation.
